School Field Trips
Bring your class to TJ Stables to enjoy an educational and fun day on the farm. All tours can be customized to fit your curriculum needs. No limit to the number of students we can accommodate. Weather is never an issue. You never have to cancel, we have indoor facilities to accommodate your group. It’s the perfect full day well-organized program for all ages and grade levels!
Junior Kindergarten - Grade 4 (Ages 8-4):
Activities may include: Educational farm tour, visit to petting farm, pony rides - hand walked by adults, scavenger hunt, riding demo, trick horse, painting ponies, eco pond tour.
Grade 4 - Grade 6 (Ages 8-10):
Activities may include: Educational farm tour, visit to petting farm, corral horseback riding, scavenger hunt, trick horse, riding demo.
Grade 7 - Grade 12 (Ages 11 and up):
Activities may include: Age appropriate educational farm tour, visit to petting farm, trail riding, scavenger hunt, horse riding demo, woodland nature walks, pond eco-tour, and/or historical fur trade studies
School Groups/Bus Tours:
Activities may include: Trail riding, demonstrations, horse whispering demos, "Acceptional" Riders demo, Team communication with horses or farm games. Food and beverages can be supplied, price negotiated and according to numbers and activities required.
Packages Can Include:
- Petting Farm Tour: Meet all the fun farm animals and get to feed, pet and learn about the critters.
- Farm Tour: See and learn how the horses live. We'll show you how we care for the horses from grooming to feeding. Information is age appropriate.
- Riding Demonstrations: Our accomplished riders will show you how a real cowgirl rides and the very exciting capabilities of the horses!
- Games: Stick horse racing, calf roping, scavenger hunt and many more.
- Lunch: Bring your own lunch or bring Fixin's (hotdogs) for a real western cookout at our campfire.
- Indoor Riding Facilities: You never have to cancel...the whole program can be moved indoors.
All riders with special needs (both physical and developmental needs) are welcome at TJ Stable's fully wheel chair accessible facility. Gentle, trustworthy horses and patient, caring staff. We are able to assist riders to mount, and in cases where needed we have a lift for riders in wheelchairs or with balance issues.
Book Your Field Trip
① Send an Email
In order to book your Field Trip with TJ Stables, please make submit a form and select the age group and please specify the size of the group. This will initiate the booking process.
If you have preferred dates and times that you’d like to schedule a field trip, please identify the date in the message section of the form.
② Online Waivers
Once you’ve spoken with a representative of TJ Stables and have secured a spot, you must ensure each parent or guardian submits a Registration Waiver for each of their children who will be participating in activities at TJ Stables.
③ Payment & Deposits
All payments and deposits will be completed via email or can be completed in person if that is the preferred method.
We accept eTransfers and all credit and debit types for in person payments.
