Anishinaabe Ojibway Spirit Horses
Our Venue. Students will meet the Ojibway Spirit Ponies and feel their power of healing. Story of the Walpole Island Ponies and how they are related to these ponies.
- Tee-Pee visit: Indigenous people meet with the French Voyageur. Impact of the fur trade on indigenous people told by Metis Fur Trader. Historical cooking demonstration over open fire and Metis French Canadian music to be enjoyed.
- Ceremonial Drumming: Indigenous Elders will explain the negative effects of Residential Schools in a drum ceremony.
- Group Circle Dance where all students come together as a closing ceremony.
